Our History
BAM! was started in 2003 when Tim Lee and Scott Shimada wanted to bring back the old youth rallies that San Lo used to have in the mid to late 90′s. The idea behind BAM! is that we don’t have to travel far to reach the lost. Our mission field can be at home and we can reach the people in our neighborhoods, our schools, etc. So, the Bay Area is our mission field and how we came up with the name – Bay Area Missions!
By partnering up with local churches throughout the Bay Area, youth groups can participate in a number of various ways – leading worship, welcoming people, planning the games, joining the dance ministry, bringing snacks or just coming to worship.
The speakers do their best to present the Gospel in a clear and understandable manner. It is simple – isn’t it? God created us. He loves us. He died for us on the cross and rose three days later as the Conqueror of death. And if we accept His free gift of eternal life, then we don’t have to fear death – we can live in Heaven for eternity.
